Welcome to **Know Your Neighbourhood**. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our mobile application and web portal. Please read them carefully.
By registering, logging in, or using the app, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you are not authorized to use the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the resident/member) and **Know Your Neighbourhood**. By using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms, alongside our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility & Approvals
Access to the member portal is restricted to validated residents (owners or tenants) of our housing society. Registrations require:
- An authentic mobile number and matching email address.
- Submission of correct flat/house numbers.
- Validation and approval by the designated society administrator.
The society committee reserves the right to reject, suspend, or block any account that provides false credentials or cannot be verified.
3. User Conduct Rules
You agree to use this platform in a respectful, law-abiding manner. The following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Posting offensive, abusive, threatening, or defamatory comments.
- Advertising illegal products or spamming the local business directory.
- Broadcasting fake security alerts that generate panic.
- Filing fake or malicious complaints designed to harass neighbours or technicians.
- Attempting to hack, probe, or disrupt the server network.
4. Complaints & Business Listings
The platform serves as an aggregator for local directory lookups and maintenance dispatch. Residents who list local businesses are fully responsible for the quality, licensing, and transactions of their services. The management committee acts only as an enabler and is not liable for transactions made with listed businesses.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, **Know Your Neighbourhood** and its developer committee are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:
- Inability to access or use the application.
- Utility outages or emergency alerts missed due to network delays.
- The actions, conduct, or postings of other members within the society.
6. Account Deactivation
We respect your data control. You can deactivate or request deletion of your account at any time. Upon deactivation, your access is revoked, and your record is immediately soft-deleted from the database.
The management committee also reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach user conduct guidelines or cease to reside in the housing society.
7. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect changes in our community regulations. Continued use of the platform after updates indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
